Bantayan Island White Sand Beaches -

Bantayan island is located just north of cebu islands. It is one of Cebu's best-kept secrets. The island has three municipalities, namely: Santa Fe, Bantayan (proper), and Madridejos. It is in Santa Fe town where you can find most of the beautiful beaches in the island. One popular beach there is the Kota Beach. The beach main attraction is it's white sands.

The island, which is composed of three municipalities, specifically Bantayan, Madridejos & Santa Fe is also generally known as the "Egg Basket" in the neighboring regions because it has been generating over one and a half million eggs a day to supply the growing demand of eggs for mainland Cebu, Negros, Panay and even Leyte.

Island Life here is slower and more relaxing, but that’s really the beauty of it all, as some roads are still yet to be paved, and locals who farm & raise livestock live very simply in bamboo & coco wood houses; the warmth and friendliness of the local people here only serves to make Bantayan a more unique & very special place for all who visit.

Bantayan Island has lots of resorts to choose from. All resorts are a tricycle ride from the Santa Fe pier. Santa Fe (a known province in the island) has also some very good food and, during the high season, a lively bar scene is a perfect place for you to chill out. They often serve fresh sea foods and excellent Thai foods and it is worthwhile to come back to Bantayan just for this kind of foods.
